Published Piece Argument Paragraph

Schools should not go to a year-round calendar because kids will not be able to go to summer camps. There will not be as many camps because it will be harder to fit camps into 3 weeks.
This proliferation of summer camps has created an equivalent demand for counselors to staff them, which means a variety of interesting summer jobs for high school and university students(mel.org)
This means that college students who usually help run the camps will not be able to with year-round school.  I would not like it because I would not be able to just enjoy the summer camps that I usually go to.  Week-long specialty camps--covering everything from music to science to horseback riding to archaeology to sports--have made summer a time for opportunities unavailable during the school year. (mel.org) You do not learn these things in regular school so it is good for students. Camps employ more than 1,500,000 adults to work in various camp positions. (2010 ACA Camp) This means that the people who work at summer camps will lose jobs. Scout Camps, Church Camps, Scholastic Camps and Athletic Camps could not operate because the normal labor pool of teachers, college students and high school students would not be available.  There also would be a lack of participants due to the requirement of attending school for longer time periods in the summer.(georgiansneedsummers.com) This means students will lose summer camps because it is harder to fit them into the shorter breaks. Overall, year-round school will not be a good idea because students will lose the education that they usually get from summer camps.

at my boy scout court of honor, I sat down and saw that the color of my new second class patch was a mustard colored yellow on the banner and a light brown background. the sash said be prepared. I felt honored to be sitting there and thinking about that. I think that boy scouts is a great opportunity to get very good skills for life. You learn how to be a leader. If you don't want to be a leader, you don't have to, but it is a very good skill to have. I think that I learned quite a lot about being a leader in boy scouts. I like going on camp-outs because most of the time they are fun. That is another good thing that you do, be with your friends.

I was so proud when I went up and received my patch to become second class. They gave the patch to me and then shook my hand. I then had to pin the pin on either my mom or my dad. I pinned it on my mom. They told us to sit down. As I sat in my seat, listening to the ranks above mine; first class, star, life, and surprisingly Eagle. The reason why it was surprising is because normally we just recognize the eagle scouts and they go to a separate Court of Honor. Anyway, I studied the second class patch. The design was a banner. It was a dark, honey mustard colored yellow.

I am so excited for the cold day. I can't believe how cold it is going to be. I heard it is going down to -10. I think that is crazy! This is the snowiest January ever(since the started recording)! I feel that I will be able to say that I went through the coldest January ever in my state. Anyway, I am so excited for the cold day because I have so much more time to do my homework. I also will be able to just chill out during tomorrow. I am EXCITED!!!!

I have a science test tomorrow and I am very scared about it but I think that if I study hard and good tonight I will get a good score. It is on units 1, 4, and 5. I am going to use Mrs.Robert's study guide and adding a few things myself that I think will be on the test. I want to end this so I can study but I guess this is kind of like a break from my harder homework into my easy homework. I will ask my dad to quiz me after I think I have everything down in my head. I will probably do my saxophone in between so I can understand the information even after a little while.

A court of honor is a Boy Scout Honor system. We have them about three times a year. One in the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end of the year. You can get rank advancements; for example I am going to receive second class at my next court of honor. You can also get merit badges. For example I am getting Dentistry, Space Exploration, Fire Safety, Geocaching, and Music at my next court of honor. You need a certain amount of merit badges to get to more rank advancements.

Like I said before, I am really excited about the LEGO movie. I also want to see the movie Frozen. I am just going to keep talking about the LEGO movie. All of the trailers that I watch get me closer and closer to understanding it. I'm not sure I want to go to the theaters. I like how the main character, Emmet is a construction worker and falls down a hole and meets a random girl that is underground. Somehow I think that makes a very good story. I don't know how, but for some reason it does.  I like the girl's name: Wyldstyle.

I did this for spelling city:

I am a person that can burst out in talking at some unpredictable moment because of some disability. I forget the name. I am often too audible when I burst out so it often gives me trouble. I like to think that I am a person with good diction, but other people may contradict this. I do study the dictionary sometimes, so that is why I think I have good diction. I have heard of a dictator that is nothing like me so I don't know why he stayed in office for so long. I predict that that dictator will stay in office for longer. I am going to audition for a movie in the auditorium. It will be a audiovisual and people will also be able to purchase it on an audiotape. There will be no audience, we will just record it to make an audiovisual. No one will be able to hear the auditory until we put it on tape. In one part I audit a verdict for someone.

I am really excited for The LEGO Movie. It sounds really awesome. In all of the the trailers, it has something funny. I think that it is very humorous for little kids and also about 3-6th grade kids. I think that it sounds like something I would really like. It is about this construction worker named Emmet that has to save the world from another person named Lord Business. He wants to end the world. He has these really funny mechanical legs that he made himself that make him much taller.
It seems like he is also the president of the town because it also describes him of president business.

For the geocaching merit badge at merit badge mania, our little class actually got to find two geocaches that our teacher set up. The WCCC (Wayne County Community College) does not normally allow geocaches, but since she did not actually make them real geocaches, she could just pull them out when the day was done. One was behind a trash can in a skinny cylinder. The other was an Altoids tin with magnets in it stuck to the back of a mail slot. I went to boy scouts tonight and when they said I got 4 more merit badges everyone in the TFC (Trail to First Class) clapped.

My dad is coming home tomorrow so I hope I can download Firefox. I had some science homework tonight so I took my green binder with my textbook in it but when I got it out to finish it the textbook was not there. I figured that it is in my locker and it just fell out. I'm now going to do it during lunch. It is only two questions so I should be able to finish it very easily. I was already going to the art room to finish up my two point perspective drawing. He lets us do homework in the art room.

For merit badge mania, I had the geocaching merit badge. One of the prerequisites was to find a geocache. My sister, my dad, and I went out to find a geocache. I turns out it is at Northbrook Church just down the road from us. We went to the place where it was supposed to be and my dad almost stepped on it. I found it. I is a jar covered with brown duct tape. The lid was frozen shut. We went back to our car to warm it up. Once we got it open we saw that the logbook was frozen.

I think my favorite merit badge form merit badge mania is space exploration because you get to launch a model rocket and draw a base on the moon or mars. I like launching a model rocket because it is very fun to be able  to see something go very high in the air and know that you built that. I created a moon base. I thought this was kind of fun because you got to pick how the base would get food, water, and oxygen. You also get to pick what the base would be used for. Mine was a laboratory. Food and water would be delivered from earth. Most oxygen would be taken out of rocks.

I am a normal guy. I live in an apartment. Every year they have to do a shower inspection. They think it is a good opportunity to see the quality of the shower's. It is spectacular that they keep going on with this. When the inspector comes in, I go along and speculate in my perspective that this inspector is bad. I am going out to what is supposed to be a spectacle of a movie while they are inspecting. I am an artist. I am bringing a portable portfolio with a spectrum of colors with me. The movie is supposed to be about policemen that report criminals, transport them using a heliport and deport them to a prison island. They prospect the criminals will not get out. They import food to the island to support the criminals. A spectator policeman always has to keep guard.
