12/20/13 At Home Writing

I am so glad that break is here! I just get to sit back and relax now. I can do whatever I want now without being bothered by homework. I know that I can mostly just relax for tonight and then tomorrow and the days before Christmas I will help my mom and my family clean up so that we can host Christmas here. I am also excited for Christmas. I am always excited to see what I get when go down in the morning. It is so fun to open presents.

12/19/13 At Home Writing

This is a story about Joberts Idol today:

I sat there waiting anxiously to go up to sing. I was nervous to do this but I just went over the lyrics in my head. I watched as Vivan preformed "Tomorrow" flawlessly. I hoped that my performance could match her performance. Next up was Megan singing "Cups" I think she did pretty good. I went through the rest of the songs rating and commenting on them. Finally, it was my turn.

12-18-13 At Home Writing

I like to listen to music when I write because I really just like listing to music so whenever get the chance I do it. When I write I can actually concentrate with music. I like listening to music as long as it is good music. I don't really like rap at all. I really like most pop songs without rap. I also like some old songs. I like lots of Michael Jackson songs. I've also tried a Rolling Stones song. I really like the Deep Purple song "Smoke on the Water".

12-17-13 At Home Writing

I'm listening to one of my favorite songs "Break Even" by the script. I think that I am going to sing it at Joberts Idol but I'm not sure yet. I don't know I might be a little nervous so I'm not sure if I want to do it or not. I would like to show my talent of singing because I think I am pretty good but I don't know what I should do because I don't know if I want to go in front of the class.

In other ways I am excited too. Winter break is coming up soon and I am really excited. I can't wait to just relax and not have a heavy burden on my shoulders every night.

12/16/13 At Home Writing

I am up late again because I had a lot of math homework. I think that the reason it takes so long is because I don't use a calculator to any of the addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division problems. From now on I am going to use a calculator for most of them unless they are really easy. I don't like staying up really late so I hope that I can get to bed earlier tomorrow night. I really want this to end so that I can finish my math and go to bed. I want to get a good sleep for tomorrow. I am pretty much just waiting for the time to run out right now because I just want to go to bed. I hope it happens soon.

Year-Round School Reasearch (New Argument Paragraph)

Schools in Michigan should not go to a year-round calender because kids will not be able to go to summer camps. There will not be as many camps because it will be harder to fit camps into 3 weeks. Also, college students who usually help run the camps will not be able to with year-round school.
This proliferation of summer camps has created an equivalent demand for counselors to staff them, which means a variety of interesting summer jobs for high school and university students(mel.org)
I would not like it because I would not be able to just enjoy the summer camps that I usually go to. Week-long specialty camps--covering everything from music to science to horseback riding to archaeology to sports--have made summer a time for opportunities unavailable during the school year. (mel.org) Overall, year-round school will not be a good idea because students will lose the education that they usually get from summer camps. 

12-12-13 At Home Writing

I am so excited for the weekend! I will get to relax for more time than normal because I don't have as much homework as most weekends. My science homework will take the most time because I have to fill out a spreadsheet of the pros and cons of different programs to make games with. The next most will probably be band because I will have to practice for at least 20 minutes over the weekend. My third most will be my Spanish because I have to a worksheet. My fourth most will probably be my math because all I have to do is take a survey on how much I like the math books that we are using. That is why I am excited for the weekend.

12/12/13 At Home Writing

I am really excited for winter break! I only have to go through 6 more days of school. I really need some time to relax at some point. I will probably do any homework the first night so that I will not have to do it any other time. Maybe not because I will be so stressed out by that time I will just have to relax. That usually happens on Fridays before weekends. I love that we have weekend because if we didn't it would just be school endlessly. If we had school endlessly I think I would break with all the stress. Weekends are the rest of the week for everyone. I'm also glad that we have holidays so that we can get a little extra break every once in a while.

Learning doesn't stop when the school year ends! Summer camps are a great way for kids to continue developing skills and interests during the summer months. At Home Writing 12/10/13

I really like the project that we are working on in science. It is pretty fun to learn how to program computers. Yesterday we learned the basics of coding (which I already knew, but it was a good review). Today we learned JavaScript which is a really cool program that lets you learn the basics of actual coding (typing in the actual commands). I wonder what we are going to learn tomorrow. I'm not really sure because she said that we were getting the groups for the projects on Thursday.

Argument Paragraph/ 12/9/13 AHW

Year-round school does not improve students' academic achivement. There will not be as many camps because it will be harder to fit camps into 3 weeks. Also, college students who usually halp run the camps will not be able to with year-round school. I would not like it because I would only have small breaks to relax. Finally, in Salt Lake City, Utah, of the district's elementary year-round schools, only 50% made adequate yearly progress on standardized tests last year. Eighty percent of the traditional calendar elementary schools made adequate yearly progress. (Deseret News)


Well I finished my argument paragraph and I don't really know what to do next so I am just going to let the timer run out for 5 minutes. I hope it finishes soon.

12/8/13 At Home Writing

I've been working on my prepositions packet this weekend. I only have two pages left. I am so excited to finish it so that I will not have to work on it anymore and it will be out of my mind. I also have to do saxophone practice later.

I was amazed when it started snowing outside today even though it is not much snow. I heard about the snow in the lions game just a few minutes a little bit ago. That would be crazy out there in Philadelphia. I wouldn't want to go there for that game. I would rather just watch it in my house even if I couldn't see what was going on because of the snow.

12-5-13 At Home Writing

I am really sleepy. I really just want to go to bed and get a good night's sleep. But I can't because I have to do this writing. I kind of like it other times, but right now I just want to go to bed. I had scouts tonight and a patrol leader meeting so that takes up about two hours of my night that I usually use for homework, so here I am stuck at 10:55 writing about how I feel because I have nothing else good to write about. The thing I don't like about this is a that I usually don't know what to write about. I really am stumped now. I don't really know what to do. It turns out I only have 2 seconds left.
